Registration is open for our BRF Laces to Leaders Group!

Please note - we are still in need of one additional adult volunteer to help coach our Lincoln Elementary group. Registration will open once we have our coaches set. Please reach out to joshua.mcgrath@jacksoncountywi.gov if you can help!

The focus of this 7-week program is on building self-confidence and positive self-image in young girls and boys, while training for a 5K run. The goal of this fun curriculum is to teach girls and boys positive life concepts, inspire them to make healthy lifestyle choices, and empower them with the confidence to set and achieve powerful goals! 

2025 Program Details - BLACK RIVER FALLS

  • Dates and Times:

    • Girls: Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-4:30pm

    • Boys: Tuesday and Thursdays 3:15pm- 4:30pm

  • Participants: Open to girls and boys in Jackson County, currently in Grades 3rd-5th

  • Location: Lunda Community Center

    • Students are able to make arrangements with the school district bus garage to ride the school bus to the Boys & Girls Club drop-off.

    • A membership to the Lunda Community Center is not required. However, all participants must have a LCC Hold Harmless Agreement on file. This can be completed online: https://form.jotform.com/211035030320027

2025 Program Details - LINCOLN ELEMENTARY

  • Dates and Times:

    • Girls & Boys: Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15pm - 4:30pm

  • Participants: Open to girls and boys in Jackson County, currently in Grades 3rd-6th

  • Location: Lincoln Elementary - Merrillan

  • Cost: $20

 

LET’S CELEBRATE! Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run

The culmination of the Laces to Leaders program is the Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run/Walk on May 17, 2025 at 8:30am at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in Black River Falls. All Laces to Leaders participants are encouraged to participate in the event and complete a 5K with their friends and family! Registration is free for youth ages 12 and under.

Family members are invited to cheer your child on, or if you’d like, to run along with them during the 5K. Finishing the 5K will be an exciting moment for your child!
